Financial management in the not-for-profit sector (6 points)

Synopsis: This unit is an overview of the principles, policies and practices governing financial management in NFP Organisations. It focuses on how NFPOs obtain and manage their financial resources, while delivering services their consumers and multiple stakeholders want. Reference is made to the financial importance and role of the 'Third Sector' in the Australian community, government funding and taxation policies, and the application of corporate accounting standards and practices.

Assessment: Assignment (250 words): 5% + Case study (750 words): 15% + Case study (750 words): 30% + Examination: 50%
