Synopsis: This unit builds on the analytical theories and frameworks studied earlier in the Bachelor of Commerce. It aims to provide students withknowledge and skills that will enable them to analyse a range of contemporary issues in management. It considers some major issues confronting managers i the contemporary context: for example, globalisation and workforce diversity; it examines competing theoretical frameworks used in management theory and business research and examines the implications for management practice of the selected issues.

Assessment: Written (essay 2000 words, report 3000 words): 25% and 45% + Examination (2 hours): 30%
