Managing conflict (6 points)

Synopsis: The focus of the unit is on developing the knowledge and skills to manage conflict in a range of business and professional contexts. Students study a variety of theories and processes that will enhance their skills in avoiding and resolving disputes within and between organisations.

Assessment: Class exercises and role plays: 30% + Case study (3000 words): 30% + Examination (2 hours): 40%

Contact Hours: Two 1 hour lectures and 1 hour tutorial per week

Prerequisites: Any two second-year management units
