Synopsis: This unit highlights the challenges of managing the global activities of international companies; examines the environmental foundations and cultural contexts for international management; discusses the impact of national cultures on management, negotiation and communication; and provides an overview of strategic, operational and human resource management issues in the dynamic international economy.

Assessment: Written assignments and tutorial presentations: 50% + Examination (2 hours): 50%

Contact Hours: 2-hour lecture per week and 1-hour tutorial per week

Prerequisites: MGC1010 or permission
