Synopsis: This unit examines quality management approaches and their application in manufacturing and service industries; management issues in quality; and managerial responsibilities in managing for quality. It also provides a review of the design, implementation and evaluation of the unique nature of quality.

Assessment: Individual assignment 30% + Group assignment 20% + Examination (2 hours): 50%

Contact Hours: Two 1-hour lectures and one 1-hour tutorial per week

Prerequisites: MGC1010 or permission
