Organisational behaviour (6 points)

Synopsis: This unit provides a framework for understanding the behaviour of people at work. Its fields of analysis include the individual, the group, and the total organisation. The unit provides information on human factors that influence individual and organisational effectiveness such as differences in perception, personality, motivation, leadership styles and others. The study of organisational behaviour is based upon social science methods and links with other studies in behavioural sciences such as management, human resource management, sociology and psychology.

Assessment: Assignment 1 (1500 words): 15% + Assignment 2 (3000-3500 words): 35% + Examination (2 hours): 50%

Contact Hours: Two 1-hour lectures and one 1-hour tutorial per week

Prerequisites: MGC1010 or permission
