Synopsis: Design, value analysis and tolerancing for function and economical manufacture; geometric tolerancing. Bearing design and selection; mounting of rolling bearings. Fatigue. Design of bolted joints, welds, springs, shafts and/or other machine elements. Design project involving fluid mechanics.
