Negotiation, mediation and process management skills (6 points)

Synopsis: Comprehensive coverage of the Principled Negotiation model, developed at Harvard University. Theory of behavioural change, concept of Principled Negotiation; variety of frameworks for understanding, strategising, and evaluating all negotiations. Range of interpersonal skills necessary for effective negotiation and third party process management. Communication techniques; theoretical, practical and ethical issues associated with negotiation best practice; current practice; enhancement of practical skills.

Assessment: Participation in role play exercises: 40% + Written submission on strategy for one role play: 10% + Class test (two hours): 50%
