Synopsis: Discussion of important current international human rights issues such as cultural relativism, appropriate domestic and international responses to human rights violations, theoretical perspectives on human rights, development of international human rights jurisprudence, human rights and corporations, economic, social and cultural rights, world regulatory structures and human rights.

Assessment: Research essay (7500 words): 100%
