LAW7003Business finance: law and practice (6 points)(LAW) Leader: T.B.A.
Offered: Synopsis: The subject examines various types of business finance used by corporations in Australia. The subject will study forms of short, medium and long term financing, principally domestic, with some reference to securitisation. Topics will include legal concepts relating to finance, banking and securities and also practical transactional issues such as documentation and revenue considerations. Assessment: Research paper (3750 words): 50% + Supervised examination (1.5 hours): 40% + Class participation: 10% Contact Hours: One 2-hour seminar per week |
