Synopsis: This unit allows second year students to study in Korea at one of the universities with which Monash has formal agreements. Individual study plans based on Korean proficiency and the host institution's programs are negotiated with the coordinator. Students will normally enrol in a unit or units formally offered by the institution concerned, based on the study plan agreed to before departure. The workload for this unit will be not less than that required for a 12-point unit at Monash University and will normally be completed over approximately 3-4 weeks for intensive programs, or over a semester or two semesters when combined with other study.

Assessment: Students will be required to bring back all written work competed in Korea for assessment and/or to sit for a competency test. Assessment will be conducted by Monash staff, drawing on assessments provided by the host institution and direct assessment of work completed and competence achieved.

Contact Hours: 6 hours per week or equivalent

Prerequisites: First year Korean.
