Introduction to Japanese Sociolinguistics (6 points)

Synopsis: As for JPS2130

Assessment: Critical review (2500 words): 50% + Examination (2 hours): 50% + For the review, students will write a critical review of the literature on a given topic by covering a number of references, while at second-year level, students will only review one article.

Contact Hours: 2 hours (1 lecture and 1 tutorial) per week

Prerequisites: Completion of, or current enrolment, in Level B Japanese or equivalent
