Advanced Japanese Language in Japan 12 Points (12 points)

Synopsis: This unit allows honours students to study in Japan at an approved tertiary institution and will continue the program commenced in JPL4991. Individual study plans based on Japanese proficiency and the host institution's programs are negotiated with the coordinator. Students will normally enrol in a subject or subjects formally offered by the institution concerned, based on the study plan agreed to before departure.

Assessment: Students will be required to bring back all written work completed in Japan for assessment and/or to sit for a competency test. Assessment will be conducted by Monash staff, drawing on assessments provided by the host institution and direct assessment of work completed and competence achieved.
