Synopsis: As for JLG4310. A special fee-paying, in-country Japanese language program providing home-stay, a variety of cultural activities, visits to various institutions and a number of other excursions as well as classroom-based study.

Assessment: Mid-semester test (50 minutes): 15% + Final examination (2 hours): 35% + Listening comprehension test: 15% + Speaking test: 10% + Quizzes: 10% + One major assignment (taped interview and report): 15%

Contact Hours: 5 weeks, three hours of tutorials a day and excursions

Prerequisites: At least credit or above in level B Japanese or equivalent, selection by the department
