Research Methodology for Applied Linguistics (12 points)

Synopsis: The role and conduct of research in applied linguistics and sociolinguistics. The unit is designed for students intending to write minor theses or research papers, but will also be of benefit to students undertaking other data-based projects or writing academic essays.

Assessment: Two essays (4500 words each): 50% each

Contact Hours: 3 hours (2 x seminars and 1 x tutorial) per week
