INM1115Beginning Indonesian, Part 1 (6 points)(ARTS) Leader: Paul Thomas
Offered: Synopsis: The primary focus is on the communication skills required for use in an Indonesian or Australian setting. Tutorials cover a broad introduction to the culture and geography of Indonesia as well as an introduction to strategies and skills required in learning a language. Practicals deal with the introduction and application of basic communication tasks with an emphasis on numeracy skills and immediate needs. Assessment: Oral presentation (10 minutes): 25% + Cultural journal (1000 words): 15% + Short tasks (500 words): 10% Examination (2 hours): 50% Contact Hours: 4 hours per week (3 x 1hr practicals and 1 x 1 hr lecture) Prohibitions: INM1110 |
