Interior Architecture Major Project Part 1 (12 points)

Synopsis: Projects are student-generated and complex, usually addressing specialized commercial contexts. Building code and other statutory requirements are researched and resolution of these issues is required as part of the project requirements. Students undertake research studies in specific contemporary discourses and practices pertaining to their project, which may include interior, environmental and architectural design and related social theory. Students develop and articulate their individual project approaches and design philosophies in studio discussion.

Assessment: Project planning exercise: 10% + Set projects and class papers: 90%

Contact Hours: 10 hours per week of lectures and supervised studio

Prerequisites: IAR3106

Corequisites: TAD4501
