Synopsis: Particle dynamics, experimentation, modelling. Kinematics: position, velocity and acceleration; translational and rotational motion of free and constrained forces; energy dissipation in mechanical systems; mass moment of inertia; analysis of planar mechanisms.

Assessment: Two laboratory-based assignments: 50% + Final examination: 50%
