Synopsis: As for GSC2408.

Assessment: Essay (2500 words): 50% + Examination (2 hours): 50% + Assessment at third year level will require students to demonstrate a greater breadth of reading and a more extended understanding of the theoretical issues covered in the unit.

Contact Hours: 2 hours per week

Prerequisites: GSC1402, GSC1901 or equivalent (students who commenced an English major prior to 1997, GSC1401 and GSC1402)
