Synopsis: This unit recognises the organisational context of all welfare practice and will therefore attempt to explore the ways this context can affect practice interventions. The unit aims to prepare students for the increasing number and range of management functions embodied in many welfare positions today, with an emphasis on project planning and current trends in resourcing.

Assessment: Examination (2 hours): 40% + Workbook assignment (2500 words): 60%

Prerequisites: All first-year level units for Diploma of Arts (Social Welfare)
