Synopsis: History, theory and practical rationale of four major research strands: quantitative, qualitative, interpretive and critique. Research as a tool to validate the researcher's hypotheses, design, implementation and method required in a research thesis.

Assessment: Literature review 30% + Methods Paper 30% + Research proposal 40%
