Synopsis: Introduction to computer graphics: brief history, applications, hardware and software and the fundamental ideas behind modern computer graphics. Two dimensional graphics: device-independent programming; graphics primitives and attributes. Interactive graphics: physical input devices; event-driven input; user interface. Three-dimensional graphics: 3D curves and surfaces; projections. Transformations: translation, rotation, scaling, and shearing. Access to the university's computer systems through an Internet service provider is compulsory for off-campus students

Assessment: Assignments: 40% + Examination: 60%

Contact Hours: 4 hours per week

Prerequisites: GCO1811 or GCO9805 or a good knowledge of Java
