Synopsis: Concepts of operations management in manufacturing and service organisations. Introduction to computer software systems in a management context. Topics include financial calculations, production planning and control, service industry planning and control, just-in-time techniques, management aspects of electronic data interchange, and quality management issues.

Assessment: Assignments: 40% + Examination (3 hours): 60%
