Synopsis: This unit will cover the new aspects of analysis and design of multimedia applications as well as key methodologies of traditional information system analysis and design. Main topics will include the following: Requirements of multimedia systems The process of system analysis and design Team management Common design tools Multimedia system development methodologies and the lifecycle Key concepts of object oriented analysis and design Case studies Implementation, evaluation and maintenance.

Assessment: Assignments: 50% + Examination: 50% (3 hours)

Contact Hours: 4 hours per week

Prerequisites: GCO1811 and GCO1821
