Figure painting and drawing (6 points)

Synopsis: Introduction to the knowledge and skill required for figure studies in the mediums of painting and drawing. Through a sequence of studio sessions which make use of the life model, skills in observation, representation and characterisation will be promoted. Issues related to the suitable posing, setting and lighting of individual human figures will be explored through projects of varying technical means and intensity.

Contact Hours: 4 studio hours and 8 independent study hours per week

Prerequisites: Credit or higher level in FNA1201, FNA1202, DWG1201 and DWG1202, or permission
