Environmental Research Methodologies (18 points)

Synopsis: The planning and reporting stages of the research program leading to the team report including a workshop program on data collection and analysis, research brief preparation and report writing. The team report must be presented on time and no extension will be considered.

Assessment: Assessment of personal and team participation in the research process (2000 words): 8% + One 2000-word paper on 'social construction' of team project: 12% + One 15minute presentation on critique of 'systems/social construction': 7% + Two 20-minute seminar presentations: 8% + Project report (5000 words): 55% + Class participation: 10%

Contact Hours: 2 hour lecture/workshop per week
