Synopsis: The planning and reviewing phases of the various facets of team and individually based approaches to environmental research. Four aspects are emphasised: appropriate research design to elucidate a selected environmental issue, review of project management to achieve specified objectives, effective management and review of team dynamics, and the social construction of the research tasks.

Assessment: Research proposals (1500 words): 25% + Team dynamics report (1000 words): 30% + Epistemological analysis (15minverbal presentation): 30% + Symposium presentation: 5% + Team performance: 10%
