Synopsis: Topics covered include the reserve system, the role of government, flora and fauna management and protection, fire ecology and management, human environmental impacts, ecotourism, and general management strategies.

Assessment: Written assignments: 30% + Oral and practical work: 10% + End-of-semester examination: 60%

Contact Hours: 10 hours of private study per week plus practical work conducted at a 2-day excursion
