Engineering in medicine and biology (4 points)

Synopsis: Applications of engineering and physical science to medicine and biology. Applications include electrical phenomena in living tissues, natural and artificial neural networks, circulatory measurements, some examples of artificial organs, biomechanics, biomaterials, imaging and processing of biological products.

Assessment: Examination (3 hours): 70% + Laboratory and assignment work: 30%

Contact Hours: 26 lectures and 26 hours of laboratory, problem classes and site visits
