Education, Work Organisation and Workplace Change (12 points)

Synopsis: Sociological theories of work and recent research investigating teachers' work which help to explain how and why teachers' work is changing. How teachers' work is shaped by the changing relationships of state, society and economy. How these broad contextual changes play out in the day-to-day work of teachers. The significance of teachers and educational work in contemporary society and the contribution that educators can make to workplace change.

Assessment: Critical Review (2000 words): 25% + Assignment (4000 words): 75%
