Synopsis: How unit content can be taught through a language other than English. Examples of successful models of content-based teaching. Development trial and teaching strategies for units in different content areas.

Assessment: Participation in seminar activities: 10% + List of strategies: 20% + Oral presentation: 20% + Five lesson plans: 50%

Contact Hours: 3-hour seminar and 12 hours individual study and library time per week

Prerequisites: A major post-Year 12 in a language other than English or its recognised equivalent and a recognised initial teaching qualification
