(EDU)

Leader: Ms L McLean

Offered:
Clayton First semester 2003 (Day)
Clayton First semester 2004 (Day)

Synopsis: This course revises univariate statistics and then moves onto multivariate statistical problems. In the univariate section, most of the questions should be reasonably familiar to you, but if you need to revise the concepts, they are all covered in Gravetter and Wallnau (2000). The conceptual sections of each chapter of the multivariate statistics booklet are based on Tabachnick and Fidell (2001). A multiple choice booklet will be supplied and students are expected to work through the questions and discuss any difficulties in class. Some multiple choice questions are derived from the work covered in the lectures.

Assessment: Three workshops are set aside to review progress with the multiple choice booklet problems. 50 item multiple choice test: (100%) which will be open book. There is no practice exam because the problems in this booklet look very like the problems that will be in the exam.
