Method and practice of teaching business management A (6 points)

Synopsis: This unit is an introduction to the relationships between learning and teaching Business Management at the post-compulsory levels as well as Commerce and Business related units at the 7-10 levels. Teaching strategies and contexts for use in Business related classes in Years 7 to 12 will be explored. Methods for assessing and monitoring students will be introduced. The relationship between Business Management, technology and society will be a focus.

Assessment: Class activities: 50% (2000 words), Resources assignment: 50% (2000 words) + Teaching practice which forms a major part of the assessment of EDF5494 Methods and Practice of Teaching Business Management A and EDF5495 Methods and Practice of Teaching Business Management B, and students must complete at least 45 days teaching practice (50 for double degree students) and gain a rating of satisfactory for the teaching practice.

Contact Hours: 3 hours per week

Prerequisites: A minor sequence (two years of study) in Business Management studies from a recognised institution
