EDF5492Method and practice of teaching accounting A (6 points)(EDU) Leader: Ms A Forsyth
Offered: Synopsis: This unit is an introduction to the relationships between learning and teaching Accounting at the post-compulsory levels as well as Commerce and Business related units at the 7-10 levels. Teaching strategies and contexts for use in Accounting related classes in Years 7 to 12 will be explored. Methods for assessing and monitoring students will be introduced. The relationship between Accounting, technology and society will be a focus. Assessment: Class activities: 50% (2000 words), Resources assignment: 50% (2000 words) + Teaching practice which forms a major part of the assessment of EDF5492 Methods and Practice of Teaching Accounting A and EDF5493 Methods and Practice of Teaching Accounting B, and students must complete at least 45 days teaching practice (50 for double degree students) and gain a rating of satisfactory for the teaching practice.
