Synopsis: The importance of mathematics in science will be examined and areas of known difficulty in science learning addressed. Students will study the generalised and specialised use of language in science teaching. A further topic of EDF5461 is the evaluation of teaching resources in science. Students will be required to show an overall appreciation of issues important to the teaching and learning of science.

Assessment: Assignment 30%, School based task 20%, Project 50%
