Method and Practice of Teaching Geography A (6 points)

Synopsis: This unit is an introduction to the contribution of geography to the education of secondary students both as a separate unit and as an element of a more integrated curriculum, eg in the framework of 'Studies of society and the environment' (SOSE). Studies include ways of approaching teaching and learning in geography and how to access a range of resources and technologies.

Assessment: Fieldwork assignment 50%, Resources preparation 50%

Contact Hours: 3 hours per week

Prerequisites: Minor sequence in Geography at tertiary level.
