Method and Practice of Teaching Business Studies 1A (6 points)

Synopsis: This unit is an introduction to the relationships between learning and teaching Business and Commerce related units at the secondary school level. Teaching strategies and contexts for use in Business and Commerce related classes in Years 7 to 12 will be explored. Methods for assessing and monitoring students will be introduced. The relationship between teaching business studies, technology and society will be a focus.

Assessment: Assignments: 70%, Resources file: 30%

Contact Hours: 3 hours per week

Prerequisites: A minor sequence (two years of study) in Accounting or Economics or Legal Studies or Business Studies/Business Management from a recognised tertiary institution
