Synopsis: This unit will focus on the development of children 0-12 years as well as adolescence, a range of theories of development and learning, and the implication for teaching practice in the primary school setting. There will be emphasis on the need for students to critically reflect on their understanding and knowledge of child development as a basis for identifying and responding to group and individual development and needs

Assessment: A case study report (2000 words): 40% + Research assignment (2000 words): 40% + Class presentation: 20%
