Advanced Studies in Identification and Assessment Practice (6 points)

Synopsis: This unit will provide the student with the opportunity to review current assessment and identification procedures and to be able to critically appraise individual assessment approaches for specific behavioural areas in children and adults. The unit will critically evaluate and highlight major advantages and disadvantages of each approach

Assessment: A critical review of a sleeted approach to assessment which will include consideration of its reliability and validity, theoretical basis and range of applicability (2000 words) (50%); journal of visits to community settings (1200 words) (30%); class presentation (800 words) (20%)
