Synopsis: This unit will examine the design and implementation of appropriate programs to meet the individual needs, strengths and interests of children in the junior primary school. The role of parents in the education of young children and the transition between early childhood services and the school will be examined.

Assessment: Research project (2400 words): 60% + Literature review (1600 words): 40% + Hurdle requirement: 80% attendance at lectures/tutorials
