Early Childhood Teaching Studies 1 (6 points)

Synopsis: Module 1: Theory of developmentally based programs in EC education including program provision, assessment and guidance. The professional responsibilities expected of an EC teacher according to the Australian Early Childhood Code of Ethics. Module 2: Focuses on the use of Learning Technologies to facilitate teaching and learning in early childhood and school settings

Assessment: PGO only. Students must gain a satisfactory grade in both modules in order to pass the unit + Module 1: satisfactory grade in Practicum placement and all written requirements including tutorial tasks + Module 2: Satisfactory grade in all written and practical tasks. Hurdle: 80% attendance at lectures/tutorials.

Contact Hours: 3 hours per week plus practicum placement
