Conservation and Environmental Issues (6 points)

Synopsis: The conservation of wildlife and environmental problems faced by humans. Students investigate the conservation of species, habitats and biodiversity in studies of local marine wildlife conservation projects such as seahorse and seadragon captive breeding programs and local marine protected areas. Similar approaches are taken with environmental issues. Major environmental issues studied include global warming, ozone depletion, pollution and population.

Assessment: Written syngnathid assignment (2500 words): 30% + Environmental issue assignment (2500 words: 30% + Examination: 40%
