Synopsis: Passive components and their performance at RF and beyond, the transistor at radio and microwave frequencies, narrow band small signal amplifier design, impedance matching, amplifier stability, amplifier noise performance, microstrip, microstrip filters.

Assessment: Examination (3 hours): 70% + Laboratory and assignment work: 30%
