Synopsis: Methodology and models of software development, project management, software specifications, object-oriented program design, version control, programming language choice, documentation, real-time systems, synchronous and asynchronous systems, concurrency issues, critical sections, mutual exclusions, semaphores, OSI network programming, internet-TCP-UDP-proprietary protocols, introduction to encryption, cipher in telecommunications.

Assessment: Examinations (3 hours): 70% + Assignments: 30%
