Synopsis: The study of high performance computer architectures, pipeline parallelism, datapath control, hazards including data and branch, branch prediction, memory organisation, caches, virtual memory, superscalar architectures and parallel computer architectures.

Assessment: Examination (3 hours): 70% + Laboratory and assignment work: 30%
