Reliability engineering (4 points)

Synopsis: Basic probability theory and its applications in reliability engineering. Reliability network models. Evaluation of simple and complex systems. Reliability calculation of stand-by, repairable and non-repairable systems. Probability distributions and their use in reliability evaluation. Discrete and continuous Markov models. Frequency and duration techniques. Approximate techniques for evaluation of system reliability.

Assessment: Examination (3 hours): 70% + Laboratory and assignment work: 30%

Contact Hours: 26 lectures, 26 hours of tutorial and laboratory classes
