Synopsis: A research forum for the exploration of new directions in research and advanced specialist topics in open economy analysis. Students will be introduced to the forefront of contemporary analytical developments that are relevant for policy formation. The scope of the subject encompasses the pure theory of international trade, open economy macroeconomics and international finance, and development economics.

Assessment: Written (8000-word research paper): 100%

Contact Hours: Two 1.5-hour seminars per week
