Synopsis: Theories of hedging and speculation; determination of spot and futures prices, and intertemporal allocation; market efficiency; expectations, including adaptive expectations and rational expectations

Assessment: Class paper (2500-words): 30% + Individual research project (4300 words): 70%

Contact Hours: Two 1.5 hour lectures per week

Prerequisites: ECC4650 or equivalent
