DTS4800Creative Project (24 points)(ARTS) Leader: Rob Baum
Offered: Synopsis: This unit consists of the development of a single performance or creative project together with a written submission supporting the student's process and achievement in the project in the light of its defined objectives. 'Creative Project' will provide the opportunity for students whose primary interests are in performance making or imaginative writing to engage in the development of an original project. The reflective analytical document will be a required component of the unit, but the primary emphasis will be placed on the creative exploration itself. Assessment: Both the realised creative/performance piece (equivalent to 15,000 words, weighted at 80%) and the written retrospective analysis (3000 words, 20%) to be examined and marked by two qualified examiners Contact Hours: An average of 24 hours per week planning, preparation, rehearsal and superisory contact per week throughout the teaching period. Corequisites: DTS4000 or DTS4120 and one other Honours level unit, as approved by the Honours Coordinator in consultation with the student's supervisor Prohibitions: DTS4500, DTS4700 |
