DPSY5203Theories and techniques of intervention part 1 ( points)(MED) Leader: Dr J. Sabura Allen
Offered: Synopsis: Each session will include both lecture and experiential components. Experiential components will include group discussion, viewing and discussion of video tapes, skills practice with other group members, feedback/discussion of taped practice sessions, and finally the development of a CBT resource book. Assessment: Short test (10%). Students will undertake a short test associated with the concept of empirically supported therapies. Two audiotapes (45% each). Students must submit two audiotapes of themselves conducting therapy, together with a written self appraisal of 1500 words or less. |
